White & White Inspection and Audit Services, a commercial property and casualty service company, was formed in 1951 and based in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1924, Atwell, Vogel and Sterling, a national audit and underwriting survey company was formed. On February 29, 1988, these two companies merged to create Equifax Commercial Specialists (ECS) with its home office located in Overland Park, Kansas. On August 7, 1997, Equifax spun-off the business conducted through its Insurance Services Group to Equifax shareholders which resulted in the formation of ChoicePoint, Inc. (ChoicePoint). CP Commercial Specialists (CPCS) was a division of ChoicePoint until February 28, 2003.

Effective March 1, 2003, CPCS was acquired by New Mountain Capital L.L.C. (New Mountain), a leading New York private equity fund ending its affiliation with ChoicePoint. New Mountain is the sponsor of New Mountain Partners, L.P., a fund which seeks exceptional long term capital appreciation through equity and equity related investments. A company called Overland Solutions, Inc. was formed with a renewed focus on exceeding customer expectations for quality and time service in premium audit services. With the addition of expertise in our Safety Resources and Castle Inspection Service divisions, OSI has truly positioned itself as the premier provider of non-claims-related services to the insurance industry.
